It needs to be! Maserati deserves to run with BMW and Mercedes. I'll never be able to afford one, but Maserati is SUBLIME and when compared to the tasteless ghetto bling of a Mercedes, I hope this kicks A$$.

As the front end is much more masked than the rear, it's safe to say it will receive more work. Updates on the inside also seem like a safe bet, and although the article does speculate that engines will remain unchanged, some updates seem likely in the light of the Giulia, and also I wouldn't rule out at least probably a entry level Diesel form the Giulia with 4 cylinders (sacrilege!!) if they want to earn a bit of the company car cake, where by now every major player does his business with tax friendly 2.0 4 cylinder Diesel engines with 200-250hp (and often also below that)
