I have to wonder whether there is any point in Buick doing a Regal version of this given how poorly the Regal sells. It splits the difference in size between the Verano and Lacrosse, but both handily outsell it. It's also a bit pricey for what it is.

The speculation is this will form the basis for the next Holden Commodore in AUS. Never thought I'd see the day that a Commodore would be a front wheel drive hatchback. How times have changed. It will be interesting to see how it will all work out sales-wise for Holden, or whether it will be the final nail in Commodore's coffin.

Seeing as the Regal will be a traditional sedan, I don't see why the same wouldn't happen if this became a Commodore.

Holden are keeping their cards close to their chest at the moment, so who knows. As they say, we'll find out in due course.

Holden will get badge-engineered vehicles. GM botched Holden's bespoke models.

I was hoping that it'd have something close to the lovely waterfall dash/center console sweep of the LaCrosse, but it looks decent enough (the little we can see of it). If they can start pricing in the low to mid 30's, they might have a (relative) winner.

Looks less bloated and boat-like than the earlier spy shots suggested. I'm a little confused by the rigidly straight window line and lack of side body sculpting. Makes the design look kind of non-dynamic.

From what can be gleaned so far, it looks awkward (rear) and awfully uninspiring. I predict that this is destined for failure here in Australia (as Commodore).
