Default Cadillac to adopt torque-based engine badging

I think Cadillac needs to spend more time making cars that will sell, rather than on names things in a way that is either totally illogical or totally irrelevant....

mick78 will become famous soon enough

Fully agreed, the current lineup is not the strongest;
Plus, this naming scheme is the second dumbest right after Audi; AT least, the torque figures have some relation, but again, that makes it just that slightly bit less idiotic than a random 2-digit number;

I mean in both cases,they can actually get rid of the number entirely, because most people will not know what engine that figure is referring to anyway...

Just when you think it cannot get any dumber than Jockitch DeNiacin's dumber-than-dumb reworking of the already stupid naming convention at Cadillac, the brand--instead of going to NAMES--makes the dumber-than-dumb alphanumeric mess even worse.

Cadillac has yet to finish renaming its current lineup, and they’re worried about adding displacement badging? XT6 400 is silly.
