It seems that every 2 years they are doing something new to the 911. Rear reminds me of the 959, which by no means is a bad thing since the 959 was such an amazing car and beautiful. But its probably the camo that makes it look long like the 959 was.
Lets see what Porsche throws a us this time, first Panamera and now lets see what they come up with for this one, cant be too diff since the 911 is legendary design

much clearer shots of the new 911 (998)

looks like it is the standard 911 as the side air-intakes in front of the rear wheels are fakes and so is the huge rear wing.

Is it completely new or an updated 997, I can't tell. No I'm not being sarcy, I mean is it a new 911 like a Golf Mk6 is new but really a Mk5 update.

I wonder that too. It looks similar to the current one between the front and rear wheels. I hope this is completely new in terms of design/size etc.

996 to 997 was more like an update eventhough a very big one. The new one will get bigger as far as I can state. But absolutely no clues of big design changes. In fact it is a 911 and this car needs no change. Everbody who screams for a different place of the engine or another design go buy a boxster or cayman. The 911 and its design will never change. It sells pretty f.... well for more than 40 years now. Which brand can claim that for its cars (except of Corvette)?

I think the same too, i got an issue with Porsche using the 911 theme on all their cars but the 911 itself is an icon and one that sells A LOT as it is, i would not want them to change its design significantly. What they CAN do is create another model that takes Porsche design into the 21st century and sits along side the more "traditional" 911

+1 on adapting the 911 theme to all the other cars.
