yeah I'm in SMG. The building is definitely intimidating at first, but it's really awesome and once your learn it, it becomes more manageable and comfortable.

zwei Biere bitte, have you thought of applying ot other canadian schools? univerity of british columbia? simon fraser u? uni of toronot? waterloo? uni of alberta?

http://www.aucc.ca/can_uni/our_unive...s/index_e.html

the uni i went to, UBC has a lot of american students, with many coming from the western US. McGill is good, but life in quebec is a bit different than in english speaking canada. although montreal is more english than quebec city, it's still quite french though.

yeah man, I thought about applying to UBC but it just didn't make the final cut i guess... i was already to applying to waay to many schools as it was, with 14 different schools receiving an app from me. I will admit though, when I had to cut my list down to the final number, it was definitely hard taking off some really good schools, such as UBC.

one of the main reasons I applied to McGill is that I want a different experience from California. yes, it's nice here, but there's more to the world than just California and Montreal would be a great city to experience for a few years, even though I would probably not survive the winters there haha.

McGill starts releasing decisions on Thursday so I am definitely crossing my fingers!

btw, I don't know of how Quebec's college system is different... seems to me like its basically the same as places in the U.S

Well, I met some people from Quebec and apparently they have some CEGEP thing between high school and college and the years are all divvied up differently for higher education and something like that.
