Should be a very very good series. I'm looking forward to it a lot. They have the bugatti veyron at come point in the season, should be interesting to see how they rate it.

The first episode features a 3 car showdown with the BMW M6 vs Aston Martin AMV8 vs Porsche 911 Carerra S.. Should make good entertainment!

Unfortunately knowing their anti-BMW bias I don't think that they'll be very kind to the M6. I predict Aston, then Porsche then BMW.

Clarkson didn't rate the Vantage at all in the magazine, so I predict BMW then the Aston Martin then Porsche.

Even i have to admit Clarkson is a bit of a mixed bag. With the M5 he didnt love it totally. He absolutely hated the way the M5 is with its i-drive, the way the gearbox is not ideal for town driving, the sat nav, and the various controls. But alas he loved the essence of the M5 (the engine, handling, and performance).

And he has put down BMW many a time in the past. He hates the 1-series, hates the 6-series, and doesnt like the 5-series design. If you go back into earlier top gears, it generally was Tiff Needel sticking up for BMW and Jeremy Clarkson more going for Jag or MB.
