Default 2010 Buick LaCrosse

Just wanted to bring these conceptual renderings to everyone's attention. They are designated GMX-353, which is the Ep II LaCrosse's internal code, and the steering wheel wears the Trishield.

Representative of the final product or not, these are interesting...

If this is accurate, this would be amazing! This would continue to move Buick up and back on the map, give it deserved respect which the Enclave is accomplishing and rid it of the stodgy, staid, AARP image which also once plagued Cadillac.

On a new Epsilon II platform replacing the aging underpinnings the current LaCrosse is based, the successor probably be similarly sized to the present generation, given that the next generation Aura (we've seen the Opel Vectra mules) is to be upsized from the current. Powerplants are not well known at this point, but I can see a DGI 3.6L V6 offered, but, I would also wonder if a V8 powered Super edition would be produced; I'm certain a V8 can be placed in a larger Epsilon II. With this and a Zeta-based flagship to succeed the Lucerne, Buicks future looks bright!!

I am very excited to see this stuff. I've been an advocate of Buick and a supporter of its position in the market as a serious domestic rival to Lexus/Acura for years. Particularly with the release of the Enclave, that vision is slowly taking form. The Enclave is leading Buick's charge into modernism, and I used its design as an inspirational template for a new vehicle whose pedigree drew from the previous generation of Regal sedans. I posted an illustration of this idea (http://www.carspyshots.net/zerothread?id=23592) in the Automotive Design section of the forum. Keep in mind that this Buick Bolero Concept idea started out life as a next-generation LaCrosse when I first sketched it, but during the rendering process I had the idea to position this vehicle as a Sigma II based corporate twin to the 2008 CTS. This article states that the next LaCrosse will still be an Epsilon II derived FWD model though.

Ah well. I've had the idea of a modern Buick sport sedan in my head for years now, and I am so happy to see it coming to life in the form of the new LaCrosse. It may not be a sport sedan of the same class as the CTS, but these illustrations really capture the design motif I'd envisioned in my head. Sadly, I lack the talent necessary to render stuff as beautiful as these illustrations. I cannot wait to see more on this.

Can't we agree that these renderings are GREAT to see no matter who's forum they're from?

Right. How else to show them than with a link since posting pics direct is against the rules. Or should someone with a site contact someone else and have them post the link?

I'm not sure I like the shape, I'll have to see the finished thing though. That interior looks nice.
