I hope they leave the camo on. I dont want to see another Subaru design.

After so many years. Now they use those tacky, hideous designs...

I'm one of those people who like the Forester as is, despite it's looks. It's pretty much my perfect car. And it has always been, at least in my eyes, a sort of Impreza wagon. Now that the Impreza doesn't have a faux wagon anymore, growing the Forester to be ( almost ) Tribeca sized is a bad move imo. Then again, Subaru seems to like making bad moves.

Any chance of this being the rumored Subaru Minivan/crossover/Tribeca replacement thing?

I'm surprised this isn't a Toyota with a Subie engine kind of thing.

I hear its even worse. Its a Subaru with a Toyota engine. Toyota opted to stop doing the boxer engines in Subies - I guess they'll drop the Symmetrical AWD in favour of on-demand AWD or even FWD crapola.

God I'll miss Subaru.

I could've said the same. But now there's not much point left in a Sube. Engines are going, Styling has deffinitely eluded them now, and overall, they're becoming everything they shouldn't be.

Damn you Toyota

I doubt it. Since owning a Subaru, I have spent hours researching the company. They just created a boxer diesel engine, and they've spent too much money on improving their boxer engines/symmetrical AWD, so no offense, but I don't believe it.

I posted this question on a Subaru forum. A Subaru insider stressed the fact that, from the very beginning, Toyota has said they never want to even touch what makes Subaru unique.

In all fairness, the looks of the Impreza and certainly the Tribeca where decided well before Toyota came into action. Subaru did those all by itself.

Have you seen it? If so, does it look good?

I've seen pitures and a video. The Exiga isn't it.

I read a couple of posts back, and I can guarantee that the engines are all boxers both 2.0 ad 2.5 (same as today in the Impreza - lowerHP on the 2.0 but better torque curve)
The Boxer Diesel is slate end of 2008 early 2009 IIRC and are initially destined oly for Europe (due to the cost of the engine)
