Default ng Mustang & LincStang

imho (& that's all it is) the latest renderings are the closest yet ...with a few exceptions...
total guesswork:
- the grille is wrong, too much based on the current and the fascia is too busy.
- same with the greenhouse, too much based on the current.

Where I think they're closer is the overall shape except imho it will be even more extreme!
I'm now thinking, instead of a 1-box or 2-box-or 3-box; it's going to use a 4-BULGE arrangement:
- engine compartment (actually the whole front ~40%)
- passenger compartment
- two rear wheel bulges (with the center of the trunk-rearend kind of hollow/recessed between them).
with a few sharp creases connecting the bulges

(along with being a few inches less in length and hopefully almost as much less in height)
the most-basic shape could be QUITE different - I hope more rounded ... WITH some very sharp creases/ridges, as I said above (but will show others if I get to a rear view);
which will make the heritage cues look VERY fresh on an ALL-new, JUST-recognizable, Mustang
imho2
there's a lot of the Giugiaro Mustang in the rendering (no surprise considering the new Z is largely the MKR concept)

quickie tweak ver 2.0

& tweak ver 1.0

I've been doing more chops on the same theme
here's the latest
= original
(playing with an SVO version too)

followed by those between it & the ones in the original post

still undecided about the trunk/rear fascia styling
&
here's a non-production showcar to introduce extreme versions of the themes:

sorry if the quality is rough - I just try to 'get' the style I'm thinking of (to my eyes anyway) without worrying about 'jaggies'

Keep working that chop it could turn out to be quite interesting. I actually like the grille. I think it needs work, but in concept it's intriguing.

^ TY, basti08 :)
they're all really the same design - guess some of the chops are just more successful than others?

TY
not exactly trying to develop the grille but
tried to do a 4-door sedan version, which totally sucked but
yielded this toned-down front end

I really Really dislike...actually ABHOR...abandoning the vertical slats for the horizontal without having-or-demonstrating the patience to transition or even EXPLORE a *reconciliation* of the 2 extremes

new LincStang, 'sedan' of sorts this time - well, 4-door
LZS
Lincoln Zodiac Sedan

tried a few different things for the front & got frustrated
so stuck on the Z's grille

not a 'serving suggestion' proposal, just
based on a photo of a drapery-covered, full-sized clay in the Lincoln Design Center studio

.
