I feel like GM and Ford will seriously regret having offerings at the bottom of their lineup very soon.
HK, Honda, Toyota, and other have a lot of choice.
For cars under 25K, theyve got the:
- Spark (too small for families)
- Trailblazer (Unknown quantity)
- Discounted Encore, Equinox, Terrain
- Basic trim Malibu
Ford is even worse, they have the Fiesta and Ecosport, and the very base level Escape slips in barely. The Fusion is going out, and the Focus is already dead.
Dodge has the truly ancient Journey, all of the Fiat cars are dead, Chrysler only makes the Minivan. The Compass and Renegade are decent options in that price point, but once again: only two nameplates.
HK has so many:
Santa Fe (slightly over, but only by $85)
Sonata (and Sonata Hybrid!)
Even Honda has a lot of options:
CR-V (Slightly over, but only by $50)
Lots of different options for many buyers.
