Default 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

First official picture from Mercedes shown on Instagram. Nothing surprising given all the spy shots we've seen. Wish the headlights were much slimmer though like the Maybach concept

Personally I like it a lot, waiting for full reveal now, yes I know the leaked photos exist but press photos are always better.

It looks very modern, but that grille looks seriously oversized compared to the current model. I'm not sure whether it's the frame, the slim spokes or the way it dips into the lower air dam, but it looks seriously odd to me.

Something weird about the way the grille bulges out. Looks overinflated.

Could be fine overall though. I'm mainly excited about the interior.

It looks like the part surrounding the central portion of the grille is body colored (instead of being chromed, as on the current model). I think that contributes to the weird, "puffy" look.

The grille proportions also emphasize width, which I imagine is anticipation of having a Panamerica version (shudder) for the AMG models.

I fully agree with all that is said; I would have a lot preferred a thicker chrome surrounding, as it is one of (or, together with the Rolls Royce grille, the) most iconic and historic grilles;

Also, to my liking this front end, including the grille, just looks too plasticky. There is a fine difference between chromed metal and chromed plastic, that recent German premium cars seem to miss;

my biggest issue is the lower bumper, which is basically a carry over design that is one big fake opening. for the brand flagship, something a little classier would've been warranted.

Itís nice looking....but will it be an S-Class?

I just donít think the confidence is there in the styling. From the pictures so far, it looks too Ďsoftí.
