Yep, they have no idea. It looks a whole lot better than the horrid concept ute from a while back, but this looks more ungainly than the current generation, which was already one of the ugliest utes on the market.

No facelift can hide the weird proportions, it just looks like the rear axle is a god 10 - 20cm pushed too forward in respect to the whole design, resulting in a massive overhang and weird cab design....

And it's really a shame, at least the pick ups used to look rather good at Mitsubishi for a long time...
