With a new Mercedes GLA & a larger GLB as well as a new Q3 arriving soon, the small (but no longer smallest) BMW SUV is ready for a "facelift" (well , as it seems, the usual, not noticeable BMW one)

We can assume teh usual "new LED signature" and "reworked vents", probably more pronounced double kidneys, though thankfully not as large and vulgar as on the upcoming X7.

Hmm odd, front grill is similar to what the X6 will have. Perhaps they tried to make it closer to the new 1 series' grill but this looks a bit off. The bumper seems a bit puzzling, not a fan. Not sure why BMW did not decide to use different rear lights, closer again to the 1 series.

It seems that the lower bumper and headlights don't seem to match the prototype above, which could indicate either a more aggressive looking model for China (many cars have different detailing there), or an M-appearance package.

M line vs non M line model, the m-line one was testing in europe. Here are some photos of it testing. Headlight design matches, just the interior of headlight is different, something that will also be present on the new 1 series on different trims and as options.
