The de-chromed effect is certainly interesting. Not sure how I feel about it. The black almost looks... cheap? The trim was already excessive and embraced the gaudiness of chrome. Like like the leftover gaps they forgot to fill in..

I think it's gorgeous none the less.

I normally hate machine grey (or whatever the hell they're calling it), but, surprisingly, I think it looks okay in the photos. I think the cream colored body and the similar trim in the tires (and the black top) almost make it look like piping on leather (which I feel is very British, even if other makes do the same thing nowadays).

I think the de-chromed version with those huge wheels looks very decidedly Germanic and like an Audi S-Line or RS model;

I much prefer the coupe in this case (kind of like with the Jaguar F-Pace, where - despite all the love for open 2 seater sports cars - the coupe simply has perfect lines), and then the classic version with chrome; Whilst chrome does - for me at least - improve the convertible as well, the Coupe makes much more visually of the new RWD proportions; The convertible, all together, looks too German to me, somehow, too much Audi convertible...
