They have electric vehicles on sale (e-Up and e-Golf), I see quite a number of the latter driving around lately.

I happen to like this design. I've no fears on every buying it as - it'll never see the light of day. Classic VW. Also - who thinks owning an Electric VW, with their marvelous track record of electrical stability in cars, is a good idea?

VW is jonny come lately to this game. They'll be last to market on products that need a healthy amount of oven time. VW basically owned diesel tech - spent BILLIONS on R&D to try and accomplish something that couldn't be done...it cost them billions more. So they think that they can fast tract a completely different tech (even if they had 30% of it already done behind some closed R&D door) and it works out well for them? Sure, ok.

As for their 'recovery' from diesel gate...yes, they're a company, Yes they have ROI to hit...however they've not yet recovered fully (I might have mis interpreted the above post).

I agree. This is the type of stylish look the Jetta should have had. This should have been a Jetta in ICE, PHEV, and EV versions. Instead we got an all new 10-year-old Jetta.

This is my main gripe. VW keeps showing concepts, yet all new models (and there are tons of them)9 look the same as they always did, and mostly the same as each other as a result too. And there are few news in teh engine bay either, with most still relying on TDIs in Europe.

And in terms of concept, well, I just say Microbus....
