A friend of mine has the current e-tron / PHEV...it's nice. But man, is it SMALL. And the EV range is 40KM's.

Are you referring to the A3 e-tron? If so, this is a much larger vehicle.

There is also a Q7 e-tron, which is a Plug-In-Hybrid though (like the A3 btw).

I don't think so ;)

it seems that it IS the production car (incl. normal mirrors) but for cool effect, on the Geneva stand it will receive cameras (that look just like someone broke down your mirror); After all, IMO - a t least in Europe - mirrors are still mandatory...

Das fertige Auto wird viel von der Studie übernehmen. Mertens bestätigt den Einsatz von Kameras als Außenspiegel – zumindest in Märkten, die das erlauben. Deutschland gehört dazu.

So it will indeed have cameras instead of mirrors in markets where it is allowed (including Germany).
As an option I suppose, wouldn't be Audi otherwise ;)

Japan also then. Because the new LS also gets cameras, but I do not know when.

He is in Canada, and I don’t believe the Q7 e-tron is available there, like the US.

It's likely an A3 E-Tron, especially if he describes it as small, which the Q7 certainly isn't.
