Default BMW M8 Gran Coupe Concept

https://www.netcarshow.com/bmw/2018-...coupe_concept/

Naturally, with Audi having the A7 and Mercedes now the AMG GT 4 door hatchback, BMW will cater your 4 door hatchback coupe demand as well;

Here is the M8 Gran Coupe concpet previewing what will likely replace the 6 series GC;

A new design for BMW (which, in itself is sensational), but I can#t deny that my first impression was "Kia Stinger"....

Also, given BMW's track record on concept to production transition, some of the excitement likely won#t make it onto the production 8 series GC...

It tries to much to look cool. Current/previous one is better I think, though slightly boring.

That photoshoot (or is it a photoshop?) is laughably bad, as are the colour and wheels - they make it look like a second-rate aftermarket job.

The design itself is nice enough, though I hope the trunk will be closer to the original 8-Series concept and without the exaggerated 'spoiler'.

This was my exact same thought, too (esp w/ the profile view)....

I see that the distorted Koffmeister kink from the X2 has made its way to this car, too.... But, I agree, credit to BMW for trying something a little different.

Let's hope this is bad photoshop because that is ugly.

I mean, looking past the wacky colors and bad photoshop, I don't see how this is at all ugly. It's a very handsome sedan 8 series. Taught body lines, the front and rear are both more production ready and balanced. Build it, sure.

I see a resurgence of sedans this year overall. Yeah the more budget brands are pumping out crossovers, but at least luxury makers are still with it.

Marketing will tell you it's a Gran Tourer Sport Coupe, that just happens to have 4 doors. But yes, I agree, it seems that labeling them a coupe might actually be what saves the sedan, or is already making them cool again.

The rear end looks laughably bad.
