How is a comment about the superior looking Tarraco versus the horribly inferior looking Tiguan--that are platform mates--in any way random?

Maybe you need to look up the word as opposed to using something that was trendy to say 5 years ago.

The Seat is gorgeous and the VW is grotesque. #relevant

This is a Tiguan Allpsapce with a Hyundai i30 front end and a Kia Sportage rear light arrangement. Better than the boring Tiguan, but again not helping the profile of SEAT as a brand; One more rebadge.

That's because it is Tiguan (Allspace) with a different front end and a slightly altered rear - side with all windows, pillars and roof is identical.

Better than the Tiguan's interior (that feels quite dated IMO), but looks almost like a Hyundai inside.

Now if VW could factor in Hyundai quality, then it would be a real win.

But then of course, if you want a car with a Hyundai front and interior, plus Hyundai reliability and warranty, why not just buy a Hyundai?

And in the USA, people do for the better quality. Hyundai has better reliability. Better durability. Far lower cost of maintenance. Yet, VW says it wants to compete so it brings dull vehicles that are quickly overpriced as soon as you add any options you want over base and until the recent warranty extension, people found out how expensive a VW was to fix usually under 50K miles.
