I was only a teenager, but my favorite accessible car of the time was the 2nd gen Acura Legend coupe. I think it still looks great.

That's what leases are for. ;)

I always had a crush on the gen 2 Ford probe. Great car.

The Corrado was a lease, but because it made tremendous financial sense to buy it, I did and then sold it a few years later for what I bought it for plus a couple thousand more.

Really??? Was there any indication when it first came out that it'd be so in-demand later?

Nope. They couldn't give them away. The price agreed to begin the lease was 15% off list. The lease had a floor for the depreciated value and the actual value of the car was projected to be below the floor. So they canceled the Corrado and people wanted them. So I bought it for the depreciated purchase price at the end of the lease which was lower than the depreciated price.

A V8 Mustang replaced the Corrado and that was a great move. The Mustang handled much better. The VR6 made the Corrado nose heavy so cornering was less than ideal. My 2015 Mustang carried the same sticker price as my 1993 Corrado's Monroney price.
