hopefully they stick with top pic for button layout. bottom pic is unnecessarily busy and looks cheap.

I don't know, Bangle's era may have had some weirdo designs but it was exciting because you'd never know what bmw would come up with.

Ironically, Bangle's 3 Series was deadly dull.

The 5 Series was handsome.

The 6 Series and 7 Series were vomit inducing.

Well, the Bangle era turns out to be practically irrelevant because they went straight back to what he wanted to change: same sausage, different length...

I think history will judge him fairly in the long run.

He certainly wasnt responsible for a slump in sales, and brought lots of attention to BMW.

And Lexus' styling is bringing them a lot of attention too in the same way.

Totally agree. Still want a pre-face lift E60 with the sport package.

Well I know Bangle BMWs are widely regarded as ugly or controversial, but at least he tried something entirely new (and IMO the 2003 Bangle 5 series looks still more modern and way better than the following up 2 generations), and despite all the hate for the 7 series, nearly all car makers copied the Bangel butt at one time, and the controversial interior features were widely copied as well.

Certainly I'd hope more for a 5 than a 7 series Bangle Bimmer, but at least something that looks remotely different to the car it replaces, and probably also a but different to the smaller and or larger model in the line. Something that makes BMWs visually relevant again...
