GREAT!!! This is just great news! Once, I made an ugly photoshop of a streched 300 called "Nassau", but I would never have thought that they will really build such a car.

I have always enjoyed big black American limousines, and thus like watching mafia movies from the seventies (especially The Godfahter, part II). For this reason I didn't like to see these cars go, and it's a shame that the largest Chrysler measures only 5 meters (that's about one meter under). Now, it's just amazing that Chrysler brings back a real road cruiser. I hope that it won't stay a concept...

This is great news. Chrysler is on its way. I wonder if this thing is going to have a monster engine to steal the show like that have the past couple of auto shows. (Tomahawk, ME412 etc.)

This can't be the Chrysler sedan we've been seeing in the spyshots. Something bigger, eh?

I also read on Detroit News they are trying to get into the Limo business with the 300. Any connection?

No there's no connection, I believe. If they're makin a 300 limousine, they'lll make it super long. The Imperial will be just on a little bit stretched platform of the 300, Charger and Magnum. In english, it might use the HEMI~@!

Actually the article says they are adding only 6 inches to the overall length. While I don't believe they are (or will be) the same car, I am curious if the inside info on an Imperial is merely speculation formed around the development of the limo.

This is one concept (one of many) that I'm looking forward to this show season!
I really admire the Chrysler 300 & 300C, it had great road presence and curbside appeal, but the only thing I never liked is the lack of length (even though it's wheelbase is 120"), it's width & height are fine. Even it's platform-mate, the Dodge Charger is some 3-3.5" longer. Others like the 2006 Impala and Ford 500/Mercury Montego have a little more length than the 300, as does the Buick Lucerne and especially the Caddy DTS. Even it's predecessor, the Concorde/LHS had more length.
I hope the Imperial would be for production, it would be a nice step up from the 300C and fit just below Mercedes.
Funny thing: if the Imperial materializes, and if a movie remake of the Green Hornet is produced, some movie director would probably like to get a hold of it and cast it as his ride!

A little over a month ago I saw a 300 limo in NY and looked pretty good!
I am certain that the Imperial woill not by simply a stretched 300.
