So will this be sharing the platform with the C1 and 108? Or is it a stand alone model now?

That would be the Aygo, not the Yaris - the Yaris has always been pure Toyota (well, except the recent US model), and this is no different, except probably the small 1.0 3 cylinder entry leevl engine, which is IMO shared with the smaller triplets (but again, a Toyota unit, unlike the larger 1,2 3 cylinder in the 108 etc.); And as I understand, the Aygo will likely not get another generation,

ah yes, that was the aygo, my bad.

wonder if this will be sold in canada, we have the current hatchback on sale, so maybe this will replace it.

Likely not. Canada gets the Mazda 2 with Toyota badges like the USA for 2020.
