With Peugeot wanting to return to the USA, perhaps Sergio should cut a deal for Peugeot to sell in Chrysler Jeep dealers given that Chrysler has no product to speak of.

Indeed, but it keeps dealers in business and people employed. Besides, Peugeot can't be as horrible as Fiat. Yes, Peugeot will be horrible, but not Fiat horrible.

For many years (not that long time ago), Peugeot managed to top out the whole bottom end of the reliability lists in EUrope, usually together with the Chrysler Voyager, some older Kias and The VW minivans. Fiat was that slight margin better in those surveys...

That said, improvements have been made, build and material quality of the newest models (esp. the 3008 and 5008) are up with the best, but altogether we are still not talking Toyota levels of trouble free motoring. Will it be better than a Dodge Journey or Foaat 500L however? That is a definite yes....
