Default 2021 Baojun RC-5

Once again, used GM powertrains. Power comes from a 1.5T making around 147HP.

Also, a station wagon variant should be coming soon, according to patent photographs.

This car is the same size as a VW Jetta, but it's only around $12,000 USD.

Also, the panel gaps look fine?

You can start with the front bumper/fender not lining up on the grey car, and go from there.

There’s a low cost for a reason

Interesting details, but the tall, narrow proportions and small wheels make the think this must be using quite an old platform. Which I guess makes sense given the budget positioning. The interior looks quite impressive in that context; though it could come across poorly in person due to material choices, just looking at pictures I have to wonder why the rest of GM can't design interiors this attractive.

I try not to play the "that Chinese car looks like a..." game but there's a few obvious ones here. Including another Chinese car.
Rear three quarter view is very Link & co. and the interior, especially centre stack, screams Peugeot.
Aside from that the wagon works better with the generally old proportions and slight boxy shape.

While I applaud that it#s a hatchback and not the 8.000th CUV, I also can#t ignore that it is quite ungainly proportioned; I know it's not an expensive vehicle, I think much is to blame on the SUV inspired front end, which seems just to tall for a normal car (apart form the detailing generally not being my cup of tea)
