Given that Cadillac is looking for conquest sales it would make sense for them to go to an extreme. Besides, they can replace the engine and resell the car.

I'm actually in a 3.6 v6 ats loaner and I love it so much more than the 2.0. If they allow me to replace the car I'm going to try and upgrade to the v6 and get more options. I got the car during a transition in my life and wasn't sure what I would be able to afford in the near future so I kept it simple.

my salesman said that Cadillac PR is probably going to want to keep this as quiet as possible so that's what I'm hoping

They will buy it back from you. They will replace the engine. They will sell it as a "company" car. There's nothing wrong with the car except for the fluke of a bad engine. For them it's a win win. I hope Cadillac does the right thing and satisfies the customer.

Ok - I need some advise.

My beloved 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid has one flaw. When it gets cold, the windows (starting w/ the rear window) fogs up - and the sweat / fog migrates to the side windows. It's not a problem when I have the sunroof cracked open or one of the windows cracked open.

Yes, I have the AC on. Yes, the non-recycle air button is not on. No, there is no existing moisture in the car. Kia wasn't able to replicate the problem - which is complete BS, so I've switched dealers. The new dealer isn't able to replicate the problem - but only b/c it's really warm out now.

My immediate assumption is that it's not getting fresh air - but I have no way to validate this. I asked the former Kia dealership to try; and they only looked at the light to see if it was on recycle or not (I have zero idea why).

Does anyone know if there is a test I can perform at home to validate? Does anyone know if there is a way to see IF the internal vent is shut?

Or, am I completely off base - and is there something else I should be looking at?????

Are you an especially hot blooded guy?:naughty::naughty: Joking! What happens if you defrost the windshield and then reset it to ventilate the interior? Does it not have a rear window defogger that's operational? Do you live in a dusty area? Check the air filter for the interior. If it is clogged you'll not get proper flow. In Bakersfield, the air is so dusty that the cabin filter on my Mustang needs changing 3-4 times a year. Disgusting isn't it?

Have you checked the cabin de-ventilation? Usually in the trunk somewhere, and having being either some membrane or a over pressure flap system. That can be clogged up, by dirt, leaves, and sometimes by a bad repair job on the rear bumper (outlet is usually behind the rear bumper?). If that is not letting out the interior humidity, AC won't help, or only very little..

Do you hear any flaps moving when you hit the recirculate button? I think Mick78 is on to something thinking that the flap is disabled, blocked or similar
