They will take the defective one, replace the engine, and sell it as a demonstrator. Win/win.

well they gave me my car back to drive in the mean time since this is supposed to take about 3 weeks. But I had to bring it right back because the airbag, traction control and stability control service lights came on. So I think the car is just screwed. At this point I think they're just going to let me drive the loaner the rest of the time.

definitely a good thing then that they're replacing it compared to just doing an engine fix!

GM really did a good job in the end with this one. They are putting me in an ATS that is $10,000 more for only a $20 increase in my monthly payment.

Something tells me the dealer got GM backing for that. Bet they don't keep it on the lot.

the dealer did not make the deal, GM did. I just told them which one I wanted from the dealer stock. The dealer was just as surprised as I was for the deal I got.
