The bulging headlights and grille I could take or leave and the rear end is a snooze-fest, but otherwise it looks fine. Probably won't look too bad in the metal.

X2. I mean, what's up. Is so messy. I understand Toyota trying to give the car their current design language but, why mess with such timeless design of the current LC Prado? I was expecting and evolution of the current design, maybe softening a line here and there, but this strange. : :

I don't think they're going to be a fold-flat in the new model. Apparently they're becoming a 7 seater instead of an 8 seater, and the top-line model will probably have electric fold rear seats like the Estima/Tarago.

How does it not show that? The seat is folded fowards flat. The left-side seat merely isn't installed yet. See the red arrow? That's the direction the seat goes in when you unfold it. I mean, indeed, it doesn't look FLAT flat, but it's still "fold flat".

Well, it doesn't "Fold Flat" as you stated. It folds forward, as shown, and then up against the side, as shown by the arrow and as has always been the case in Toyotas. It's not fold flat, it's fold up...
Anyway, pretty irrelevant, other than to say that the packaging is quite 80s.

Er. Explain this mechanism, then: It's clearly hinged into the ground. To stow, it folds forwards "flat" (I use quotes because there's clearly a slight slant). There is no mechanism for it to fold to the side.
