I don't think so. This looks much smaller. MB is doing quite a profit from the current G and its high prices so i wouldn't be surprised if they expanded that segment downwards. You know, german brands love sub-sub-subniches.

Nope, the GLB is slotting between the GLA and GLC.

Did I misread the Google translation? It looks the article is saying this is the next G-Class?

The next G class is already testing, and it's just the current design but wider and updated interior. This is slotted below the G, and in between the GLA and GLC as mentioned above.

Right, I get all that. So that means the article has misidentified the car in the pics, yes? B/c the article only talks about the future Gelandewagen; it doesn't talk at all about the GLB....

Mercedes coming out with a cheaper G class to compete with the high spec Jeep Wranglers would be awesome.
