I thought the 'all new' Titan was a re-skinned Ram?

Huh? Definitely not. That plan fell through when Chrysler went into bankruptcy.

Thats great. Some engines are good. People usually bring out the worst of a vehicle on forums. Some don't make it to 20,000 before catastrophic failure. Yet one person has covered 340,000 miles many of them towing.

Not being testy, apologies for any confusion - seemed more like an attempt to prove me wrong on something I hadn't made a statement about is all.

Nah! No worries. I should have said "Par for the course..." and what I said.

I guess in my mind I was expressing my frustration that no one is really doing anything new with 1/2 ton pickups. Yeah Ford did aluminum, but to all of them, where are the hybrid powertrains that so obviously would make a CAFE difference and NO I am not talking about GM's hybrid in name only BS.

Swiz you are right. Development of PU seems to have reached a peak....now they are sitting on their laurels.

Fuel efficiency is potentially one of the few goals left.
