Default 201? Lamborghini Urus

http://www.carscoops.com/2016/12/is-...hini-urus.html

Not sure if this is really a Lamborghini Urus mule, let's rather hope not, given that some parts opf the front end look rather production ready yet seem to fit well (not aesthetically, but engineering wise) with the Audi Q7 core. I sincerely hope a Lamborghini SUV would not use reskinned Q7 doors and windshield, like the Bentley Bentyaga, or the upcoming Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg, but rather have a clearly distinguishable body not sharing too much with any other VAG car. After all, a Lamborghini is first all about drama....

If you look closely at the driver's side door, the word URUS is actually printed on the camo quite large.

It looks they're abandoning the concept entirely..

That's a shame.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/markewin.../#44efc50f24a4

This article from last august states, in 2 years time we will have a suv on the market, so 2018 maybe

Ok found another article with more info

http://www.digitaltrends.com/cars/la...no-domenicali/

he name is for sure Urus. Production will start in April, though the plant will initially build pre-series models. As you know, this is an entirely new process so the first few cars will be prototypes.
This could mean the production version will debut at geneva with prototypes testing right after that but deliveries will take a while, maybe years end or even next year?

Actually I don't really care when the next ridiculously overpriced Audi Q7 variation starts production. The Bentyaga is so clearly an Audi in drag, but apparently the nouveau riche love it, so surely there will be a business case for the lambo too.

So basically you can have an Audi Q7, Bentley, Porsche and VW Touareg (the later two soon) with basically the same greenhouse and mainly sheetmetal differences visually, and a Lamborghini with probably a body of it's own. Likely with various "SUV Coupe" versions following (Q8 already confirmed). Makes you wonder whether it is fair to call the Q7 the "K Car" of the rich ;)
