I think this could possibly be the new Electric Jag - Tesla Rival (E Pace / E Type II?)
Long wheel bases are usually where the battery packs go and it does look like there is something big and square between the front and rear wheels giving it rather low ground clearance for an SUV - to me it looks lower than the F Pace.
Maybe its even the new XJ ---- Jaguar did say they were going something different when they replaced it - they said it wouldn't be just a "standard" saloon.
Seems rather small for a large suv, maybe it is the E pace. But it looks like a jacked up hatch/crossover rather than a true suv. A large suv would make sense for the US market but then, a small suv/crossover would also make sense for europe.
Question is, when will jag begin testing wagon versions of the XF and XE?
According to my sources this is the mule for the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. It will be the smaller brother of the Jaguar F-Pace. Unlike some rumors seeing it being based on the Land Rover Evoque it will actually make use the group's latest aluminium architecture. Provided the designers get their things done right it has the potential to be the best selling car of Jaguar.
The short overhangs indeed seem weird for a larger SUV, after all most mules are cut and glued together with pieces inbetween to emulate the final car's dimensions and apporx. weight distribution. SO I agree, this should be something different, and electric car doesn't seem too illogical. However, it could also be a smaller model, there is something in the front overhang/wheel to door ration that looks more FWD than RWD....
