Recent spy shots including that new lineup poster have shown that all of the above were early designs/clay prototypes where a lot of details have since changed. supposedly the removable roof setup is close to reality though.

Possible leak (or a credible fake),

A few updates here and there, still a Wrangler, IMO just like it needs to be done in this case.

i'm sure its relatively accurate, even if its fake. would love to see a "grand wrangler" model with a 5in wheel base stretch for the back seat. then it'd be my next car.

I mean, that's kind of what the Unlimited is/started out as compared to the 2-door.

FWIW, the pics I posted are from an extremely reputable insider who has been known to provide accurate official information. While not necessarily "official," he posted these pics after the "leaked" images surfaced.

yup but might as well take it all the way so it's actually comfortable and easy to get in and out of back there.

No one's disputing their likely accuracy, but they are clearly not real images.

I'm totally NOT an off-roader, but... is a short wheelbase better for off-roading?

Yes. The longer the wheelbase the easier it is for the vehicle to "high center" i.e. get stuck on a ridge in the center of the vehicle without the wheels being able to pull it free.
