Hope there is a base spec version without the ugly display that I want to knock-off.

I guess that went online a bit early, as the Ceed is still not official; Huge gallery and real life shots at the AMS link, incl. first impressions (though in German, obviously)

Just like it#s Hyundai i30 sibling, the Ceed will also receive a slightly coupe like Fast back version.

I see hints of Stinger in that tail design. While that may sound like a good thing, I bring to your attention the 'RWD styling on a FWD chassis' crisis that was the CLA Mercedes..... I hope this is better resolved.

Given the regular Ceed avoids the wannabe RWD look of the A-Class and the general theme of this is different to the Stinger, I think this should be better. The A-Class/CLÖA really had the major problem of a long RWD hood but regular A-pillar/front wheel distance for a FWD car, that resulted in the horrible front overhang. Taking the rest of the 100% RWD CLS design and applying it with minimal changes to the smaller FWD CLA did the rest to ruin that car. Also, just like the shooting break CLA does IMO look way better than the sedan, being a fastback should also help this car...
