Let's hope so. The face and front three quarter views presented in the renders make it look like a bulbous mess. However, if the rear end turns out anything like presented, I'd have no complaints.

I forgot if official teaser go here or in the New Car section.

At any rate, here's a first pic. My, my, that's a BIG rear wing....

Dropping a little of the (BMW typical) camo;

It makes me think the very rounded looking "leaks" were nothing more than photo shops, this still looks more like a ca. 2008 BMW Z4 coupe than those very swoopy Toyota concepts...

I think part of it might be the angle. I think there could be some bulbous-ness at the backlight, and there could also still be a bit of a Zagato bubble roof (or whatever it's nicknamed).

Do I see vents around the headlights??? Yikes. But could be a cool design element, if executed well....

This really is just a waterd-down FT1. Toyota seems to be pretty faithful in keeping most of the design elements from it (headlamp intake included) and just dialing it down a bit. I was skeptical when the mules were running around, but as the camo drops, it's showing more of its curves and detailing. I think it'll be a well executed design somehow.

Watered-down styling will be what kills this thing...that along with the [rumored] ridiculous price.

Yup. Any lower of a hood wouldnt match the rest of the car.

Just waiting to see this and how the 4 variants will pan out. Maybe the first release will be a soft automatica only version followed by harder core variants.

When was the last time Toyota had 4 versions of anything and admitted it?
