Fair enough. It's currently the exception rather than the rule in that segment though. Just expressing my thought that a nearly useless third row isn't the be-all end-all in this class.

But that and the Mitsubishi Outlander are the only ones that do.

Crossblue is scheduled for a LA debut, BTW.

It's called a trend and an advantage is why.

The backend seems weirdly short, I guess that hints at a upcoming longer 7 seat version (there are rumors). Other than the short back, it looks fine, finally a VW that looks different enough form the car that it replaces...

Agree, much better stance than the current (fugly) car. Call me interested.

Unfortunately--as attractive as it looks--it also looks like it will be--again--stupidly overpriced. When VWs look expensive they usually are. When the competition looks expensive, they usually are reasonable. I truly hope VW has cracked the code this time for the NA market.

I#m not sure that the US will receive this standard Tiguan. As far as I've read, the US will have the longer 7 seat Tiguan (not to be confused with the larger Cross Blue), and whilst this might look expensive (and surely is), there should be more reasonable versions too. At the end it will be down to local pricing, here in Europe a Tiguan is cheaper than a Honda C-RV, sometimes even by quite a stretch....
