I agree the fake vents on a BMW are also ridiculous.

I bet it's the real deal. Google SQ5 fake exhaust and cry.

the SQ5 exhaust is quite possibly one of the worst details on a car currently sold IMO. especially for a supposedly sport variant of a model.

https://www.carscoops.com/2018/02/new-audi-a6/

apparently leaks;

Seems legit, all of the details - including those horrible fake exhausts - are there that we sawe on the prototypes; And yes, iot does look (again) like a facelift of the current car. I like it more than the (IMO horribly boring) A4 or A8 or the BMW 5 series, but the size of the grille - as well as the not very elegant integration of radar sensors - and the general lack of real novelty (apart form the slightly extended and pronounced fenders, that remind me of old Quattros) are still not real favorites. Plus then we still have those fake exhausts, dear lord, why oh why...

As with the last generation I like it the most out of the main trio and rear is luckily not closely related to the imo horrible A7 one.

Indeed, IMO by quite a stretch the best of 3; Interestingly, I find that at Mercedes it's the largest sedan that does it best, at BMW IMO the smallest (3 series), and at Audi it has always been the mid sized car, except maybe the ca. 2000 Audi A6.....

Audi designers have it easy. This took them 30 seconds to design. Take the old car and add some chrome. Done! Throw on steep discounts to sell it.

If you look closely this has all new sheet metal along the sides with new creases. The door handles are also new. Unusual for an Audi nip and tuck

Well after all it is supposedly a new model, even if it is still MLB (evo) based, but yes, the proportions make think it could be an extensive reskin, kind of like the Q7 to Bentley Bentyaga....

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm...
