We have to remember that people who buy this level of cars do not care one bit about how it looks or the impression it makes. They care only that it has a V12, AWD, and AWS.

You'll be able to have W12, AWS and a better AWD in the new A8.
Then again if you value sportiness above anything else in this class Panamera Turbo is the obvious choice.

Buyers of those cars (or German Car Fans?) complain Lexus LS is slow and lacks HP.

A W12 is not a balanced and smooth as a V12, and the 'mid-'front placement has enough space for the longer engine.

Nothing new, exterior-wise, but a first look at a (mostly hidden) interior. Looks like there's some big changes coming inside....

welcomed changes. never like the look of one giant block of screen. looks good in the new G wagon but not elegant enough for an S Class. should give it the Maybach concept headlights.

Yes it is true. You have two rattly VR6s rattling together.

Indeed, it isn't even a proper W12 (that would be 3 inline 4s); a normal V12 is balanced because it combines two in itself super balanced inline 6s. The W12 was always a compromise between reusing many existing VR6 parts and packaging (it lives ahead of the front axle in all but the new Continental), and as a result is not the best 12 cylinder out there, actually quite the opposite.
