Better than expected, still like the new SEAT Ibiza WAY more.

Nice: GTI with 200hp 2.0TSI

Hmmmm.

Also, VW, it's time for a new steering wheel.

The interior is certainly unusual for VW, not that I dislike it.

As for the outside, no surprises. Fairly middle of the road for the class, but more interesting than the outgoing Polo at least.

I prefer the current generation's exterior, which I find more modern and better resolved stylistically. Nevertheless, this looks OK (ignoring the dullness of it all).

I quite like the interior though. And nice to see VW have integrated the touchscreen into the dashboard.

Interior definitely targeting younger buyers.

It doesn't look bad, I like the shoulder line, the lip from the hood is not to my liking and is odd just like on the arteon.

Should sell well.

I think the Polo looks better, and also classier. Interior is also a major PLUS over competition although probably offered on higher spec models only..?

as expected.... they again "chewed" over same design for the "gazzilionth" time... and I, as usual, don't like it! no, worse... I don't even care.
all I can say is that previous generation made far bigger step forward! cause there, you could actually notice that someone obviously tried very hard (within most likely ridiculously tight limitations) to give it some kind of clearer (and cleaner) design theme and character, thus turning previous generation in to most coherent VW design they had! while this one... if we are talking about its design, is just previous one with few add-on styling details that makes it look what would most people call "grown up", while I would simply say "OLD"!
the only, and I mean really only feature that might make it look good is that its proportions changed! and that because of that car appears much lower and wider than previous generation!

as for its interior.... I like clean, simple and minimalistic interiors (as long as they are not dead boring like Tesla 3) and in addition, this has all necessary elements to look futuristically "sci-fi".... but damn, I just don't understand how they managed to make it look like the face panel of "techy" home appliance...

but where this new Polo obviously IS (even from the 800x600 pictures) in a league of its own is build quality and precision, as well as in used materials and implemented tech! well... at least "decent trim versions" pictured on this presentation photos appear so...

The proportions are the most important thing in view of a cars design. If the proportions are wrong the whole design is doomed.

I'm sure you know that there are other websites where you can see a lot more pictures of the new Polo with higher resolution. ;-)
