This particular Lexus face looks OK, but the side surfacing treatment is messy and the D-pillar and DLO is awful. It looks more tolerable in darker colours.

Agreed. IMO, this is the best application of the predator face to date. I'm also madly in love with the interior. Start over on the profile and DLO though.

The C/D pillar is strange, but overall I like it better than the current one. Darker colors will be its friend.

The Murano-like d-pillar destroys an otherwise pleasant design.

This is more of an NX-L. The RX was always the softer Lexus because, honestly, that appealed to it's target audience. Either that is changing or Lexus doesnt want them anymore. But the RX was always a top seller and didnt fade toward the end of its lifecycle unlike basically every other Lexota. Soft was key.

True, but Lexus made the last RX edgier than the previous one and it sold, so I think they are banking on more of the same this round i.e. edgier = sales.

Im sure it will be fine, this thing probably drives about as edgy as a butter spoon. Which is, of course, the point. This isnt a Lotus.

The sheetmetal looks painfully contorted. It be nice if they toned down the lines some.

I predict this will fly out of the dealers given how "me too" the other crossovers look.
