This is by far the best/simplest shifting "solution" I've seen.

Looks like crap imo. Like it's trying to imitate a normal shifter in movement, but the little handle piece is too stuby. I can't imagine that would feel intuitive.

I really don't have a problem with plain buttons. Just make it clear and simple. But yeah, a T-bar would work just as well, but for some reason we need space around there to be open and super efficient? Why tho?
