It'll be the NSX killer instead.

I'm sure it's a great car, and isolated, it looks fine, even if not especially original or overly modern. But what it does not give me are Corvette vibes. None. Zero. Why this did not become a stand alone Halo car and kept a traditional Corvette around, is beyond my understanding....

Agreed. My main beef with the design is that it looks very old already. This would be fine 10 years ago, but it looks already aged.

+1. A bit dated-looking, too, although, for a rather remarkable starting price of under $60K in the US, I can forgive the relatively boring design.

I personally love the design and actually do see many Corvette styling cues from previous generations and concepts. Just about 500hp, a much nicer interior, and starting at under 60K? I'm kind of in awe; well done GM.

A sub 60k (of course, in the US, that is) starting price will make this a kit car favorite after the last Fiero has been choped up; How many fake Ferrarris and Lamborghinis will be based of 3rd hand Vettes in a few years? Likely more than a few ;)
