I wonder why Mitsubishi, with it's limited resources, puts their R&D budget into the relatively small and more or less dying mid sized MPV market (a segment that isn't even a thing outside Western European and some Asian markets) instead of bringing along a new Pajero/Shogun after 20 years, a B segment CUV or a c/d segment car, basically anything that would mean sales....

Is this big enough to be the Outlander replacement? I can't keep track of where these CUVs sit in the market.

i think it would be pretty stupid to replace the Outlander, a SUv, with a MPV, when more or less everybody else is doing the opposite because that's what the market wants....

Yes, of course. It just didn't look very MPV to me in the teasers; more SUVish.

I'm still laughing at the name. I envision a guy buying one and then saying to his date "Wanna see my Expander?" and getting slapped to hell and back.
