Oh, didn't expect that!
Looking at the photo, I think this has absolutely nothing to do with Volvo.
If this is true (and not just a rendering), it would be a big letdown :-(

This picture from automotorsport.se is a fake.

The original picture of the unknown concept car was inverted and mated to a Volvo Concept Universe. The wheels are also from the Concept Universe. The have more than five spokes.

One more interesting thing: The picture was taken in STOCKHOLM, corner Prästagatan / Spektens Gränd

Stockholm kind of strongly presses the Volvo link.

Looking closer at the picture, there is actually one more thing that hints at Volvo: The Grille slats (vertical ones), that are connected at the top; Until a few years ago, they used them on the estate models, they were fairly characteristic for Volvo:

On a side note, they always indicated estates, could it be a V70 replacement concept as well?

The Volvo connection are maybe wrong. Another swedish carsite http://www.teknikensvarld.se/ had a similar story earlier today, but they have removed the article.

Sure there are those vertical grille slats. BUT: There is rather a trend of removing grille bling than adding so. Mercedes and BMW for example use much less grille chrome now than they used 10 years ago (Mercedes reduced the horizontal bars subsequently, and BMW has removed the vertical grille slats on most of their models). Of course, Volvo doesn't need to follow any trend. But with the V40 and the most recent facelifts (S/V60, XC60), Volvo has even removed the chrome frame around the grille, plus they have begun to use thin HORIZONTAL chrome lines within the grille. After having facelifted almost their whole lineup, it makes absolutely no sense to come up with a totally new grille with VERTICAL slats after only 2 years - they could have applied that grille to the facelifted models already. Someone would need to explain that to me.

Yes. from the kink below the small rear window and the actually concave grille, I suppose it is a tribute to the P 1800....
