Love the new taillight design. The current model has good proportions, but the sheetmetal is too bulbous and weird. This is looking more mature in the detailing, but still interesting in shape/concept. Hoping it debuts in Geneva instead of LA (trying to go again this year).

I don't know - for me, the Veloster never really worked - not really pretty (IMO essential for a coupe), yet not quirky enough visually to be a statement. like a Nissan Juke's slightly boring brother.
And I'm not sure that a slightly toned down (read more boring) version of the current design in a dead anyway segment is something too many will care about (like aprox. 0 people got excited when VW facelifted the Scirocco). There are more interesting cars in the Hyundai/Kia lineup....

Yet it easily outsold the GT86 twins and the Miata combined and then some. The Veloster is actually a quiet success.

I'd love to see more "GTI" built into the Veloster than Accent. The side shot looks like it might be another success at being the kind of "different" that people want.

Agreed. It's different - but not weird. I've a friend who has one - she really likes it. It's a great little car - and surprisingly versatile.

Here it's been a consistent seller. The turbo Veloster is bit of fun. If they can get more attention to chassis tuning a person could have an alternative to the GTI--for far less--with Hyundai's better reliability. A Veloster would make a great car for my daughter's first car.
