.
The toyobaru 86 twins outsell the miata, the camry outsells the accord and mazda 6, mustang outsells the camaro (up until recently) and it all goes to show the magazines really dont exert much if any influence over buying decisions. People will listen to a restaurant review, and thats about it. The media itself is waning influence in any case.

The point of annoyance with GM's Cadillac was the "Standard of the World" boast. Maybe a few decades ago but not once in the past 3, that has been passed about between Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, Audi but never Cadillac.

Something is keeping Cadillac alive; the Escalade. The Hip Hop RX 350 and soccer/yoga mom aphrodisiac is the only volume Caddy in recent history which sells at MSRP. Gas prices and MAGA will keep this trend going; GM knows it, and the 4 aforementioned successful luxury marques wont bother competing here. Profits are insane here and that funds GM fullsize SUV market place dominance.

I apologize for the digression: Cadillac is trying to be innovative with this "buffet lease" arrangement. Theres just so little to speak of further on this present arrangement and its so easy to discuss how Cadillac wound up like this. Leasing is very common for luxury car customers, this must be an attempt to play upon that.

Need an SUV to go on a road trip?

How about a midsized sedan for ............. what do you do with a sedan?

Would you like to swap that on tuesday for a compact SUV to fit the prius-lot at the downtown yoga studio?

And of course you need a full sized sedan for your red carpet exit at the Oscars ? (in de Nysschen's dreams)

How about an ATS ...... oh nevermind.

All for $1500.

I would assume that V models are not part of this arrangement.

You can get an S-Class for that much per month, no? Can't imagine why you'd choose (multiple) Cadillacs, rather than a single S-Class.... But Cadillac apparently didn't talk to anyone who could afford to spend that much $, I imagine....

Thats the rub. I think Mercedes or BMW would find some success offering their lineup on a lease program (excluding the premium high performance variants) for $1000 to $1500 per month. For one, they have more extensive lineups and two their vehicles command desire.

You can do a lot better than any or all Cadillacs for $1500 per month. I would go for the new LS 500.
