I agree that the Jeep products, once (or shall we say if) they arrive will probably be more expensive than most other offerings in comparable segments, but then again, the Jeep brand does have a certain brand value, and actually can afford it (lets face it, Jeep was already the reason CHrysler bought AMC; probably the main reason for Fiat buying Chrysler and will be the main asset if someone buys FCA or merges);

But why they don't sell cheaper platform mates with a different exterior as a Dodge or Chrysler product (and, and mid sized 5 or 7 seat CUV would likely also be a very welcome addition to any European FIat dealership, whose last new model was the niche 124 Spider), is beyond anyone#s understanding; I mean reskin the Cherokee and Grand Commander, that's not a billion dollar project) and there are at least some sales to be made; I don't say we need a VAG ocean of identical looking MQB cross overs for every millimeter of possible size with every badge you can glue on it, but using the FCA platforms a little more would do wonders for sales.

And knowing how Chrysler once milked the K-Car platform for everything, and Fiat did the same with their Tipo platform from the 80ies right until the late 2000s, it is even more weird....
