More teaser photos (that don't show much at all), this time of the interior. Does the heads-up display now identify pedestrians???

a couple of teasers before next week's reveal.

It certainly looks very much like the 40.1 concept, refined for production with actual door handles, real sized mirrors and the like.

40.1 Concept

Full leak (by accident?)

Again, looks like a winner, and that interior quality seems to have the "Cheap for an Audi" Q2 licked...

Nice. Would still prefer XC Coupe Concept (2014) or S40 Concept.

Hopefully the later one is still coming.

will be another home run from Volvo. truly home runs across the board. Am still surprised at how striking the S90 is in person.

This may be the "closest to the concept car" we've ever seen! Looks really good, can't wait to see more of the interior. Supposedly this will be on of the most customizable cars on the market.

It depends on how you define concept cars. The Dodge Viper, Plymouth Prowler, original MB CLS, and the CLK were all essentially identical to the concepts....

As for this car, I think it'll all depend on price. I know others on here are very fond of the car, but I'm seeing surprisingly crude surface development, what must be the biggest blind spot on a mainstream passenger car (incl the CR-V), and a fairly cheap and basic interior. If this starts over $30,000 in the U.S., I doubt it will succeed here.

It looks good for now. The styling is trendy but it doesn't set a trend. Will its niceness wear off quickly? Five years from now, the floating roof look will be even more of a cliche than it already is. Volvo needs to stop thinking it's a premium (BMW/Mercedes) brand and realize it's a near-premium brand (Acura, Buick, Lincoln, Infiniti) and price this accordingly. If they price this like a CRV rather than an X3, this will be a roaring success.
