Default 2018 Farady Future FF91

I guess the initial photochop image I posted was pretty close to the real deal. I watched the live reveal yesterday and this EV looks promising, but it is just nowhere near production. By the time that happens, if that happens, competition will be on par or better.

"By the time competition will be on par". I hear that many years already, and competition hasn't even started.

Default 2018 Farady Future FF91

allegedly, this is a production vehicle, presented on Vegas CES2017... though I'm a bit skeptical about cars that are "presented" in production form a full year (and more) than they will actually be produced...

I have to say that -though there are some viewing angles from which it looks interesting- I simply don't like it! visually.... for all other claims like 1050hp engines, 2.39sec acceleration, 600km range and all other hi-tech "mumbo-jumbo", only time will tell...

there's also a bunch of presentation videos:

Already in Concept Cars. If anything, this is a prototype like the Model 3 and will be significantly revised for production.

Not sure where to post this, but the major auto mags are implying this is a prototype (as opposed to concept car)?

BTW, did I miss the backstory of this company somewhere? Who are they, and where did they come from?

But like the Model 3, it's being presented as the final production form, not a concept, so it belongs here.

Well someone give mods heads up then, since we've got two live threads.

The other thread was for the 01, which was that single-seat sports car concept presented last year.

And yet all but the first three posts in that thread are about the FF91...pretty sure that's why merge exists, but since people would rather argue about this than just acknowledge the duplication:

MODS please merge the FF91 conversations in the FFZERO1 thread with this one. Thanks.

Dunno, apart from it being most probably vapourware, it looks pretty good and relatively production ready. Design-wise at least it isn't as bland looking as what Tesla produces, and less ungainly looking than the i3 which is pretty much the benchmark for futuristic looks.
