Overall, it is a decently well executed refresh.
The 3-door not only looks better than the 5-door but also appears to have received more attention to its exterior update.
The 3.8l V6 MIVEC is a welcome addition, though I was hoping for an all-aluminum version.
Regradless, the large off-road SUV segment is quickly shrinking and I feel Mitsubishi made the right decision not to pour huge amounts of money into a complete redesign.

What they changed is really nice and I agree that this segment isn't worth Mitsu putting in any more money (that the really don't have right now anyway) for them to do a full redesign. This will do for now. Cars like the new Outlander, upcoming Lancer, and next Galant are more important right now.

This design was done before the Edge debuted and the Edge won't be sold out side of NA for now and this won't be sold in NA so it doesn't even matter if they look alike.

i was originally hoping for a complete redesign, but this is impressive for a facelift. the new front end looks great, and IMO integrates well with the rest of the car; the new interior looks way better too, although stylistically it still looks a bit like the old car. anyway, despite being rather dated, i actually quite like it

No, only where it has been popular.

I like the way the two-tone color schemes are executed, just like the pre-facelift 2nd gen Pajero.

btw, does anyone in here knows when Autumn is? The old Pajero is still on the Japansese Mistubishi website.

In Spain it would be called Montero, as usual. Pajero means wanker here.

I thought someone mentioned in another site that why Spain doesn't use Pajero is because that words means "masturbator" in the Spanish language.

Or at least that's what I heard.

It does but it isn't all that clear. You have to actually work it out before its funny - its not as evident.

From that teaser pic that was shown earlier, I thought it would be a complete redesign. But when it turned out to be a facelift, I liked it. I liked the new interior that kept the original flavour into it yet it had an up-to-date design. I really like the three door Pajero and if I had the money, I'd buy that right now. I just love it.

Looks like Mitsubishi gave the Pajero the "Ford SUV" look...
