Well, just a little thing... if it's for Europe only, why call it "legendary" maybe in Asia and Australia, but it was never a sales sucess in Europe (and I don't think it will be this time), and even in countries like Spain it isn't even sold. Besides, in my opinion, it doesn't seem to be in the same league of VW T5, MB Vito, or even Renault Trafic & its cousins Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro and Nissan Primastar, to mention some vans of its same size.

They may be dissapearing but sales of the HiAce here still tops any other van.... but a new SBV version would be a nice offer... making it bigger, taller and wider like the Ford and Mercedes-Benz

I really didn't know about sales in europe until now. I really thought it is legendary but it could be australia and asia, oh well.

In finland you can as easily say Hiace if you wan´t to say van.

Toyota Hiace and Ford Transit have been the two best selling vans here for ages and those two really are legendary here. especially that last short nosed version was very well known. They really should bring that new Japanese model here. but if it isn´t sold anywhere else in Europe it´s not likely to happen.

Good to see that Toyota want to keep the buisness of this car open.
Looks newer, but not that much better.

In my side of the woods a Chinese Hiace has appeared that looks different to the usual or normal Japanese model. The Chineses version looks OK. I'll try to get pix...

Subtle facelift??? The way I see it, nothing seems to have changed.

I'm glad (nostalgically) that they're still making these. I worked for a business in the late '80s that ran the then-current model. I like the latest one but I think it ought to sport a deeper windscreen.
